MUNNAR 03.12.08

We visit Eravikulam National Park in the morning.

The Park is home to the Nilgiri Tahr, a kind of mountain goat.

A shuttle takes us from the entrance to the start of the walking path.

All along the path, the views are fantastic.

The path is not very long and when coming to its end, further access is denied, as too dangerous. The mountains also host leopards and tigers, so it is best not to encounter any of them.

We walk near the park and encounter more peaceful animals called cows, grazing next to awesome tea plantations.

Then, we drive further north and we see landscapes that could be seen in the Alps, if it was not for the tea plantations.

We stop at a sugar factory and see how sugar cane is transformed into sugar...

sugar balls....

Boiling....

sugar cane before processing

more waterfalls...
Incredible scenery!
