Our homestay is a real pretty place, we feel like set back in the old colonial times.

Today, we make a long boat tour in the Backwaters, starting at 10 am and back at 6 pm. The cost is 250 Rp per hour. We had agreed on a 6-hour-tour, but our boat captain was still far from the port when we reached the said time and we had two more hours on the boat. As we were in a kind of open sea, there was not much to see and we were eager to get back.

during the whole trip, we could see life going on peacefully on the canal banks.

We make a stop for coconut juice. There, the housekeeper is a hawk. Shall we call it Vishnu?

It is overcast today, so we can appreciate the many colours to the fullest. It makes the landscape a bit dull.
